Georgia Boukla is a Greek-born visual artist based in London, UK. Over the past two decades, her practice has developed through making, experimentation and artist-led initiatives. Her work is driven by an interest in process, transformation and the creative potential of existing materials, places and contexts.

Early works explored painting, installation, sculpture, mould-making, photography and video, often drawing on ideas of ritual, memory, atmosphere and experience. Over time, her practice expanded beyond the studio to include artist-led projects, exhibitions and arts programmes, reflecting an ongoing interest in creating spaces for artistic activity and collaboration.

Alongside her studio practice, Boukla has co-initiated and developed projects in Greece and the UK, including Olympolis and Present Occupant Project (POP), and coordinated the arts programme at the International Olympic Academy (IOA) in Ancient Olympia for eleven years.

Since 2013, an ongoing series of drawings developed from gallery and museum leaflets has formed a significant strand of her practice. Work from this series was selected for the Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize in 2021.
